The Research On Social Security Of Migrant Workers In China

To accelerate the improvement of the social security of migrant workers and change their "marginal" survival situation is a pressing problem of China's current economic and social development. This article firstly analyzed the country's basic living conditions of migrant workers in our country, including demographic characteristics of migrant workers, employment status, income, family security and other key aspects of the migrant workers. It reveals the necessary and urgency of solving the problem of social security of migrant workers.The second part of this article systematically introduced the situation that our country's migrant workers lack of social protection, and carried on a depth analysis to existence's subject matter of the migrant workers'social security system construction. Social security of migrant workers in some of the problems, including social security, unemployment insurance, seriously flawed, old-age insurance premium is too low, the actual insurance rates are too low, work, medical insurance is not perfect, the premium collection can not meet the employment changes and so on.In order to study China's social security of migrant workers in a global perspective, the third part of the article compared the foreign migrant workers social security system with it in China. We could found that Chinese the social security system of migrant workers is quite different from the other countries which has a better social security system, and introduced the successful experience of these countries. It selected Germany, the United States, Britain, Japan and Korea to compare with China, and found the main difference, including the social security legislation in different conditions, different regulatory bodies, the Chinese urban and rural structure and so on.The fourth part of the article proposed the basic mentality and countermeasure to solve the social security of migrant workers. The proposal suggested to enhance the legislation, it can provide the basic guarantee of Social Security from the legal perspective. On this basis, the article proposes to establish a basic framework of the social security system, advocates taking the migrant workers as a special group to establish a better social security system. The article also raised through the integration of urban and rural social structure, to gradually improve the socio-economic status of migrant workers in a longer period, and in the short, to try to improve the public services of migrant workers and so on.
