Widening income distribution gap between urban and rural areas has becomeChina’s reform and opening up30years one of the most important economicphenomenon, has attracted wide attention from all walks of life. At present, China’sGDP has become the second in the world, Economic and remarkable achievementshave been made, the income gap between urban and rural areas is growing all the time.At the same time, the party and the state has always attached great importance toincome gap between urban and rural areas, the national development and reformcommission, ministry of finance, human resources social security ministrypromulgated the several opinions about deepening the reform of the incomedistribution system, put forward "set up a sound long-term mechanism to boost thegrowth of farmers’ income faster", embody the party and country to our countryincome gap between urban and rural areas of deep concern. Cracked urban-rural dualeconomy structure, therefore, effective to reduce the income gap of urban and ruralresidents to fully realize social fairness and justice and promote social stability hasimportant realistic and theoretical significance.This paper mainly studies the dual economic structure to the influence of incomegap between urban and rural areas in China. In terms of theoretical research, first ofall, starting from the background and significance of research, reviews the relatedliterature at home and abroad research; Then, this paper expounds the dual economicstructure influence the income gap between urban and rural areas in our countryrelated theory origin, the evolution of the income gap between urban and rural areas inour country, the income gap between urban and rural areas in our country presentsituation and cause analysis, etc.; Finally, summed up China’s dual economic structureon urban-rural income gap in the impact analysis.In terms of empirical research, this paper to our country urban and rural areas in1990-2009the Thiel Index to measure, it can reflect the urban and rural dualeconomic structure in our country, and can reflect the change of income structurebetween urban and rural areas in China. Compared with other indicators, Thiel Indexmore accurately measure the change of the income gap between urban and rural areasin China; Then, this paper empirically the dual economic structure on urban-ruralincome gap in our country, the influence of the results show that: first, fluctuations in income gap between urban and rural areas in our country is not sharp, Peter ThielIndex of minimum and maximum also suggests that the gap between urban and ruralincome gap in China in recent years showed a trend of rising; Second, long-term since,our country at the expense of the rural development to support the development of thetown, in agricultural subsidies in the form of "price scissors" industry, leading to thedevelopment of the rural is neglected in most of the time, thereby expanding theincome gap between urban and rural areas. Third, increasing rural residents’consumption and reduce or urban residents consumption causes for increasing theproportion of rural and urban consumption is not conducive to narrowing the incomegap between urban and rural areas in our country. Reflecting the increase the netincome of rural residents consumption further converted to income, will be conduciveto narrowing of the income gap between urban and rural areas in our country; Fourth,due to reasons such as the household registration system, rural migrant workers weremore than in the rural migrant workers wages. To speed up the rural labor transfer,speed up the urbanization process will help to narrow the income gap between urbanand rural areas. The end of the article according to the relevant theoretical researchand empirical analysis, the crack is proposed from five aspects the dual economicstructure policy recommendations of promoting fair income distribution betweenurban and rural areas in China.
