Research On Promoting Stratety Of Yangzi River Delta Road Transport Integration

As an important component of transport system, road transport is the significant premise and foundation to realize regional economic integration. With the rapid development of Yangzi River Delta regional economic integration, integration issue of road transport becomes more paid attention by government. In the'Guidance of further promoting reform and opening up, and economic and social development in Yangzi River Delta'issued by State Department in 2008, it was obviously pointed out that Yangzi River Delta will be established as important international portal of Asia Pacific Region and world-class cities that have greater international competitiveness, which put forward more requirement to road transport integration of Yangzi River Delta. In recent year, although it has achieved rapid development for establishing road transport integration in Yangzi River Delta, there still exist a lot of issues. In new situation, how to make division of work, cooperation and complementary advantages among all cities and break through constrains in road transport integration becomes important issue that need to be solved primarily in the comprehensive development of Yangzi River Delta. Currently, there is rarely research on Yangzi River Delta road transport integration in China. Therefore, the study in the thesis has important value in theory and reality.Based on theories such as region development and coordination of system, the author analyzes current status, challenges and existing issues of Yangzi River Delta road transport integration, and then proposes improved countermeasures in the foundation of international advanced experience. For example, further clarify guiding ideology and principle of road transport integration, build common market, elaborate work promoting mechanism, establish effective distribution network of road freight, optimize and adjust road passenger transport, and guarantee road transport of Expo 2010.
