Since reform and opening up, Guangdong had great development, but different reginals are unbalance. The Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province has been in the forefront of economic development during the three decades. In contrast, eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and the northern part of Guangdong developed slowly. As the forefront of reform and opening up, the Pearl River Delta region is a major area to undertake international industrial transference. But, some industries in Pearl River Delta region have to transfer between regions first, because of the current carrying capacity. In this paper, we firstly talked about the theories of industrial transfer, then analyzed the motivations of inter-regional industrial transfer in Guangdong province, and then made an empirical analysis to test the influence power of these motivations. At the macro-analysis, we think that the new trends of international industrial transfer play a role in promoting of the inter-regional industrial transfer. The regional economic development gradient is the basement for inter-regional industrial transfer, and the differences in the degree of regional industrial structure are the main macro-dynamics. At the micro analysis, as the micro-enterprise is the main body to transfer, this paper mainly discussed from the perspective of the operating costs, like labor costs, land costs and infrastructure status differences. In the fourth chapter, we made a empirical analysis of the inter-regional transfer of industry motivation, to test its influence on the industrial transfer and concluded. On the short run, some of the Macro motivations will induce companies to stay in the Pearl River Delta, hinder inter-regional transference of industries. However, transference of a large number of industrial enterprises ongoing process of location choice, combined with the theory, this paper argues the Macro motivations remain is to promote inter-regional transfer of industry from the main driving forces in the long term. In the micro motivations, the empirical analysis show that the cost of labor on the impact of industry transfer between regions was not significant, while the land cost and other factors affecting inter-regional transfer of industry. According to the results of empirical analysis and the theory of motivation-related analysis, this paper put forward some proposals to speed up Guangdong inter-regional industrial transfer in the last part.
