In China, the economic clusters that industrial clusters led to has become an important source and engine of economic development, industrial clusters have become the root of our economy. After years of development, industrial clusters in Guangdong Province toward the direction of increasing scale, longer industrial chain, higher technological level, more wide regional distribution, gradually forms Shenzhen Jewelry, Foshan Ceramics , Shunde household electrical appliance, Nanhai aluminum and so on, more than 160 professional towns. The Pearl River Delta (PRD) industrial clusters have become a regional economic development and an important source of competitive advantage; they have been the symbol of regional competitiveness.While the technology diffusion among industrial clusters largely determines the performance of industrial clusters, so this paper will explore the market-oriented industrial clusters based on the classification of PRD industrial cluster model, and the related mechanisms and effect of technology diffusion in the cluster development. This paper first elicits the classification of industrial clusters and their characteristic, followed by analyzing the present situation of the PRD industrial clusters and technology diffusion, and generalizes their characters.Secondly, the Chapter 4 does a simple game theory about the industrial clusters on firm technology diffusion, and Chapter 5 designs the technology diffusion mechanism of the market-oriented PRD industrial clusters, including the composition and problems of the mechanism, mechanism design and technology diffusion constraints, then gives the institutional arrangements and policy options of the technology diffusion under the market-oriented PRD industrial clusters, finally a case study about Zhongshan cluster is linked and conclusion is given.In this paper, the theoretical innovation presents in the following aspects: First, the paper according to the strength level of government intervention in the process of gathering and the role of the interaction of government, the PRD cluster model is divided into market-oriented and government-support industrial cluster model, based on this, focusing on study the market-oriented ones; Secondly, This paper discuss the PRD market-oriented industry clusters from the technology diffusion mechanisms, institutional arrangements and policy options three aspects.Under the background of China's economic development, there are many industrial cluster diffusion is slow, inadequate power of technological innovation. Therefore, Study on the technology diffusion of the PRD market-oriented clusters has some theoretical and practical value, and it's of great significance on the sustainable development of the Pearl River Delta.
