Diagnosis And Improvement On Baiyun Airport Informatization Status

Informatization is a key factor to sustain corporate governance in modern days. It is especially important to implement during the organisation restructuring phase at BaiYun airport now to ensure smooth transition and future development.The change including launch of the"Airport Management regulations", adjustment of enterprise stragety and new terminal construction. It brings new and higher requirements to corperate management. BaiYun airport need to take the chance and develop corperate informatization at the strategic level. To support enterprise overall stragety that the corperate transition from operation type to management type,and make BaiYun airport the centre airport of Asia Pacific with informatization management platform. And then will be improve the overall competitiveness.Because of a lot information island, although there is enough investment for infromatization, the informatization asset isn't functional. So that BaiYun airport is staying at the extensive management. Facing such kind of situation, BaiYun airport need to integrate informatization and mangement to support the further development. Informatization is a way of management, it must be based on the understanding of bussiness process.Through statistical analysis, IT value-added modelling,standard procedure analysis etc,couple with effectiveness and feasiblility studies of the present stage, it can be concluded that the vision of Informatization is not clear in BaiYun airport. Summarized the strategy and bussiness situation, clarify the urgency of informatization.There is no immediate or future planning, nor operating or relevant procedures to support the management of BaiYun airport.Knowing that,we will have to resolve the issue through 4 perspectives: firstly, the mission and vision to build a effective informatization systematically; secondly, to develop and establish the system through the setup of CIO system; thirdly, to set up a open system for aviation operation at the near future to secure the improvement of core bussiness management and operation effectiveness, to establish the fundation of strategy; finally, to support coporate management on strategic changes in the long run through maximising the information resources.
