Research On The Sustainable Development Evaluation Of Resource-dependent City

Resource-based cities is developed on the basis of resources, however, accompanied by the continuous development of the city's, there will be a series of problems, such as the abnormal of urban industrial structure, the severely damaged of ecological environment, social and environmental degradation. If left unchecked, with the reducing resources, there may cause the decay of the city. Therefore, the research of sustainable development of Resource-dependent cities is of great significance.This paper takes Dongying as an example, using combing methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis and combination of theory and practice on the sustainable development of resource-based cities. Study of oil resources-based cities of sustainable development path can be useful for other provinces of the resource-based cities, the country's resource-based cities and even the world's resources-based cities, and can provide a theoretical basis for the sustainable development and policy recommendations. The whole text chiefly includes several aspects as follows:The introduction part expounds the background of the thesis and the research trends to the related research at home and abroad. It also puts forward the content and thought of the research and the frame of the thesis.The second part reviews the related theories of sustainable urban development of the resource-based cities, which conclude the content and development law of the resource-based cities, the theory of sustainable development in resource-based cities, and the necessity of sustainable development in resource-based cities.The third part carries on the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) evaluation of the sustainable development of Dongying. Firstly, the status quo of the development of Dongying is analyzed. Secondly, the research thinking and technology route of the DEA evaluation is built. Thirdly, the DEA models for the sustainable development evaluation are built. Fourthly, the inter-annual variation of the sustainable development of Dongying is analyzed from a vertical perspective. Finally, sustainable development location of Dongying City in Shandong province is analyzed from a horizontal angle.The fourth part carries on the SWOT analysis of the sustainable development of Dongying. It is form the four aspects of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges to analyze the sustainable development capacity of Dongying.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions of sustainable development in Dongying. According to the results of the DEA assessment and SWOT analysis of the sustainable development of Dongying, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are putted forward from the aspects of industrial restructuring, alternative industrial development, infrastructure construction, human resources development.The sixth part briefly sums up the major conclusion and the department needing further study.
