In the twenty-first century, as the development of economic globalization, regional economic integration speeds up, increasing competition in international tourism, tourism destination competitiveness has become the focus of the tourism academia circle and the tourism industry. Although there are many researches on this field, it is not well enough to solve these problems. In this background, based on a large number of data analysis and research, comparative advantage theory and competitive advantage theory as a guide, this article researches on Shandong Province in order to in-depth studies of the tourism destination competitiveness.Under the background of today's fast development of the tourism, this paper overviews the development status and achievements of tourism destination competi- tion, then it presented the research methods and technical routes of this paper. Then it discussed the concept, systems, basic theory and meaning of tourism destination competitiveness, based on Porter's diamond model, IMD international competitive- ness evaluation model, conceptual model of destination competitiveness, this paper tentatively constructed evaluation index system of destination competitiveness, the indicator system is divided into real competitive,potential competitiveness, the competitiveness of the environment, the three aspects and 32 indicators. useing principal component analysis and factor analysis,this paper compares and analyses Tourism Destination Competitiveness of the province of Shandong Province and provincial comparison.Based on solid theory, this article analyses the economic conditions, tourism resources, market structure, traffic environment of the tourism development of Shandong Province, and with a large number of the Statistical Yearbook of the necessary inspection and survey data, at last,it uses factor analysis and principal component analysis in the province of Shandong Province, provincial tourism destination competitiveness quantitative analysis. through quantitative analysis, the paper identified the overall score of 17 cities in Shandong Province, by using cluster analysis it identified Shandong Province into five categories; in inter-provincial tourism competitiveness analysis, selected Jiangsu, Zhejiang provinces so on a total of six inter-provincial comparative analysis, it determines the final score and ranking of Shandong Province. Based on the results of comparative analysis, it proposes the enhancement measures of the competitiveness of tourism destinations in Shandong Province, so that the can be based on its own strengths and weaknesses of tourism industry in Shandong Province to choose the direction and mode of tourism industry in Shandong Province, this has some certain guiding significance development of tourism industry in Shandong Province.The innovation of this paper is: (1) by analyzing the existing conceptual model of destination competitiveness, building tourism destination competitiveness evaluation model in the systematic, objective thinking; (2) In current competitiveness of tourism destinations, the main urban and tourist spots and other small scale space-based, the research on provincial tourism destination competitiveness was relatively small. This paper chooses Shandong Province as the research object, and through competitive tourism destination through the province, provincial comparison and analysis and evaluation, to find out the advantages and disadvantages of development of tourism in Shandong Province , the corresponding development strategies and recommendations; (3) Through this writing, I hope our provincial tourism destination on the competitiveness of the supplement and improve, and it will play a guiding role overall competitiveness of reference of the tourism destination in Shandong Province. Also, as the limited capacity of the writer, the spatial structure of the tourism destination in Shandong Province is not enough, there is something wrong with the enhancement of the competitiveness of tourism destination in Shandong Province ,the study and research will be continued efforts to perfect it in the future.
