The Role Of Environmental Non-governmental Organizations In Developing Low-carbon Economy

Through the advancement of the society and economy, much attention has been devoted to environment pollution. The emission of greenhouse gas invoked global warming, and there came the severe ecological crisis we had to face. In order to avoid global warming needs government, company and society's joint efforts and shared accountability, as well as playing special function of their own. Writing purpose is to improve environmental non governmental organization to remedy the defect of market and government, then, let environmental non governmental organization giving full scope to low carbon economy development.This paper based on our low carbon economy development, and combined the theoretical analysis with the empirical studies, used Environment Theory, Sustainable Development Theory, Ecological Theory and etc to analyze and orient the function of environmental non governmental organization in low carbon economy. The paper made a brief introduction to the function of our environmental non governmental organization, for instance, waking up low carbon economy consciousness, taking part in low carbon economy action, strengthening low carbon economy cooperation and so on. It also analyzed the problems of the function of our environmental non governmental organization, such as profit pursuit in operating, lack of harmony in development, lack of motivation in vocation and etc, and wrote the exterior factors and interior factors. The composition introduced condition of Philippines, Japan and England in developing low carbon economy. It used the experience of the western developed countries, drew useful lessons from developing countries and proposed suggestions in how to give full play to environmental non governmental organization in low carbon economy which included diversifying sources of funding, strengthening international communication and cooperation and so on.
