A Statistical Research On The Agricultural Surplus Labor In China

With the deepening of reform and opening up the market economy system, surplus agricultural labor into the economic development to a certain historical stage of the inevitable outcome. An accurate assessment of our country agriculture surplus-labor quantity, not only allows us to understand that the employment situation in our Agriculture department, but also provides the important basis to our country agriculture surplus-labor effective addressing.This article has analyzed the agricultural surplus-labor definition and the estimate thought thoroughly, based on this, combined with the actual situation of China's agricultural sector to conduct the following research. First, the use of linear equality constraints with a linear regression model to estimate the agricultural sector production function, based on the results, estimate our agricultural surplus-labor quantity from 1980 to 2008; Secondly, Establishment of agricultural surplus labor, the agricultural sector output and crop acreage simultaneous equation model, examines industrial structure, urbanization, urban-rural income gap, and agricultural science and technology on the impact of variables within the system; Finally, empirical results based on the analysis of agricultural surplus labor's situation present, and our effective transfer of agricultural surplus labor related countermeasures and suggestions.
