Study On The Cost System And The Cost Optimization Method In Food Emergency Logistics

When emergent event happens, we need to promptly provide emergency food for the people who deeply need it, and this kind of special logistics activity is what we call Food Emergency Logistics (FEL). FEL is very important in emergency activities, however not the theory study nor the real application have been paid enough attention. The FEL activities we are carrying out are featured of high cost and low efficiency. The research can theoretical make the emergency logistics theory more complete, and in practice can help improving the logistics efficiency.The following are the major research contents.(1)Make a deeply investigation about the Guangzhou FEL in the background of snowly weather before the 2008 Chinese new year festival, and discuss problems of the FEL activities.(2)Discuss the FEL system, including the concept of FEL, the phases and the crucial process.(3)Research the cost system of FEL, discuss features of different kinds of cost and the relationship, and determine the main objective of cost management in the FEL.(4)Establish a cost optimization model of the FEL system, study how to improve the logistics process and reduce the logistics operation cost.(5)Some real data are put into the model to verify the cost optimization effect.
