Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy, but China's agricultural development is faced with natural risks and market risks, the paper think that resolving the prices of agricultural products properly is a good way to resolve the problem "three rural" issue and promot the building of new socialist rural areas.This paper, on the basis of previous studies, analysis the characteristics of the agricultural products. Compared with direct subsidies to agriculture, this dissertation discussed the necessity and feasibility to protect and support the prices of agricultural products. Using Econometric method I analysis the relations of agricultural products price index and the rate of inflation. And I also make a model analysis of the level of prices of agricultural products. In the end I made a number of practical policy recommendations.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part of this paper introduced the background and significance of this topic focused on summing up the domestic and international research results on prices of agricultural products.The second part of this paper defined the concept of agricultural products, analysis the characteristics of the agricultural products, recalled the several fluctuations in prices of agricultural products since 1978, and introduced the relevant WTO agreements on agricultural products.The third part introduced the definition of agricultural subsidies and agricultural price supports, analysis of the necessity and feasibility of the prices of agricultural products to support.The fourth part introduced the meaning of inflation, studied the relationship between the prices of agricultural products and inflation.The fifth part put forward a series of highly operative policy recommendations.
