Study On The Development Strategy Of IPTV In China

ABSTRACT:Since the beginning of 21st century, with the development of Internet and digital media technology, IPTV (network TV or interactive TV) based on the broadband network develops rapidly in many countries and regions. Chinese IPTV business breaks the ice on 2004, and attracts the telecom industry, broadcasting industry, network companies, software providers, equipment manufactruers, etc, to enter the line of improvement because of gigantic market space and vast development prospect。But for our country, IPTV is on the initial development stage with immature and unclear development mode, and has many limiting factors on the aspects of policy system, technical norms, consumer habits and operation mode。How to break through the various bottleneck restrictions and gain benign progress, always attracts extensive attention in the field。Based on the strategic commanding point of Chinese IPTV development, starting with analyzing the present situation and relevant theoretical research results, this dissertation is devoted to seeking the characteristics, restriction factors and problems to be solved, by studying successful experiences of foreign network TV, and bringing forward the development strategy that can be used for conference for our country。...
