The Practice Of Project Management In The Development Of Automotive Steel Sheet National Standards

The automotive steel sheet is a key product for measuring the technical level of iron & steel industry of one nation. Currently, we have capability to produce a great variety of automotive sheets, but lack of corresponding national standards. In order to promote the independent innovation of iron& steel and automotive industries, we shall develope the national standards for automotive steel sheet promptly. As an automotive steel sheet producer with the largest output, most advanced technology and great variety in China, Baosteel has the responsibility and capability to develope national standards for automotive steel sheet.This article has analyzed the significance and effect of developing the national standards for automotive steel sheet, designed the national standards system for automotive steel sheet. It also has introduced the history, current status and knowledge system of project management, determined the management mode and practice approach for the development of automotive steel sheet national standards. Utilizing the theory, method and tools of project management and considering the characteristics of the development of automotive steel sheet national standards, this article has made a detailed planning for this project as well as set the progress, quality, human resources, risk etc. plans. In order to guarantee the quality of this project, this article explains the method and principle for setting the technical scheme. Meanwhile, it has also analyzed the implementation of this project and summarized the key points for the development of national standards. At last, it has introduced the construction of long-term operation system for Baosteel standard project.It is the first time in Baosteel as well in China's iron & steel enterprises to carry out national standards development according to the project management mode. Through the practice of this project, it has established the national standards system for automotive steel sheet, set the national standards with international advanced level and fill in the gap for national standards. It has also established the long-term operation system for the development of Baosteel standard project, improved the management level of Baosteel standards and provided instructive reference to our counterparts.
