Research On The Development Strategy Of The Kailuan Fangezhuang Coalmine Labor Services Company

Kailuan labor services companies were established by Kailuan coal mines respectively through self-survival and self-accumulation efforts. Such companies have contributed to increasing employment, sustaining social stability and construction of a harmonious society.However, Kailuan labor services companies have proven at a disadvantage in management techniques, quality of personnel, capital structure and competitive strength, especially along with deepening of national economic structure reforms, restructuring of SOEs and separation of core businesses from affiliated businesses. It is therefore an urgent issue for these companies to adapt themselves to the new market situation, identify their market positioning and competitive edges and formulate appropriate development strategies.This paper starts with a summary of relevant theories concerning enterprise strategic management, and then discusses and analyzes challenges and main issues faced by the Labor Services Company of Kailuan Fangezhuang Coalmine. And further analysis is provided on macro and micro and internal elements that influence development of the company, to identify pros and cons as well as opportunities and threats of the company. On the basis of SWOT analysis, this paper attempts to make an assessment and selection of the company's strategic plan of development including the guiding principle, strategic objectives, strategic emphasis and directions, division of strategic stages and implementation plan.This paper have been completed based on the research of years of development practices of Kailuan labor services companies and Fangezhuang Coalmine Labor Service Company. The paper provides some guidance and practical implications for other Kailuan labor services companies as well as some interesting exploration on how such companies in China carry out their reforms.
