Engineering Project Risk Management

With the China national economy and modernization rapid growth, project number increasing fast, particularly in the development of offshore oil can be said with each passing day, the risk of offshore oilfield development and construction projects are more severe than other project. While the fast-changing social environment has brought more uncertainty, the resulting risk of project management is increasing, so a large offshore project risk management has become imperative.This paper mainly elaborates the definition of risk and risk management. Introduced the characteristics, category and the main factors of a risk. Also introduced the production, development and outlook of risk management. This paper discussed the risk identification, risk assessment and analysis, planning decision-making and the decision-making implementation of the whole project risk management process. Specifically the risk management objective is to effectively manage to avoid the risk occurrence and reduce risk as much as possible, so that the project ultimately obtain the highest and the most satisfactory economic results.The paper described the basic theory of risk management base on the engineering experience and research of inland and overseas. About the analysis of practical application, mainly includes following areas:Firstly, make the project environment analysis and choose the fit risk analysis method for the project.Secondly, introduced and instructed the process, control measure and track system of the project.Finally,combined with example to illustrate the relevant principle, detailed description the establishment's programs and processes of the project risk management system.
