Research Joint Ventures is an efficient form of innovation cooperation. RJVs is one of the best choice for both company participate the fierce competition. After the R&D of new technologies, RJVs need practice license through appropriate licensing strategies. This dissertation addresses innovation of RJVs and the licensing strategies of patentee.Firstly, by research on traditional innovation process, new product innovation process model in RJVs has been put forward. Members working together in the whole process of innovation, Including the creative presentation, R&D and popularization of new technologies. Furthermore, the features and advantages of the RJVs are also analyzed in this dissertation.Secondly, this dissertation discuss the selecting of licensing strategies and the R&D investment licensing when RJVs has no capacity of production, or unwilling to carry out production. We obtain the following conclusion:(a) In fixed-fee licensing, the optimal t is equal to the licensee's saving that using the new technologies. When R&D is inefficiency or the market scale is too small, the derived demand of innovation will be increased, when the market scale is increased, the R&D efficiency is promoted, and the production is reduced.(b) In the royalty licensing, the royalty rate is always smaller than the cost of R&D can save. (c) Whether the patentee take fixed-fee licensing or royalty licensing, licensing strategy always leads an increasing production. And get maximum increased in fixed-fee licensing. (d) The R&D investment with the fixed-fee licensing is always no less than that with royalty licensing. (e) Fixed-fee licensing is the best strategy for the patentee himself and for the whole society.Lastly, this dissertation examines selecting of licensing strategies when the patentee carries out production himself, and practice license through appropriate licensing strategies to other enterprises at the same time. we obtain following conclusion: (a)Fixed-fee licensing is the best strategy for the patentee himself, for the whole society,for the R&D investment and consumer's surplus. (b) Royalty licensing. is the best strategy for the licensee. This is the same as the RJVs don't carry out production.
