The Evaluation Of China Regional Cultural Capital

In recent years, the cultural capital has gradually shown its significant impact on the world economic growth. The research on this subject will promote the development of cultural industry, which will play an important role in building national core competitiveness. In academic field, cultural capital might be used to explain"Solow residual"which physical capital might not. As the final explanation of rapid economic growth, cultural capital has drawn many economics'attention. For discussing this issue further, economics in the world have put the"cultural capital" concept which derived from sociological field into economic field to study ,but all the scholars have not get the same point on of the "cultural capital" concept. So the research has not developed into a complete theoretical system. Therefore, clearly defining cultural capital, discussing the specific connotation is particularly important. Based on establishing the dynamic accumulation model of cultural capital, and using factor analysis method, this text will define cultural capital in the field of economics and measure the regional cultural capital to measure China regional cultural capital.The first chapter illustrates the introduction, the significance, the framework and the difficulty of this research. The second chapter is about cultural capital theory basis, which sorts the existing cultural capital theory and try to find the problems which have not been solved yet. This chapter has also define the concept of cultural capital which belongs to economy and make out a dynamic model to describe the accumulative process . And then I will improve Throsby's cultural capital Inventory model. The third chapter is to measure China regional cultural capital stock. According to the cultural index published by UNESCO and New Zealand government, this paper designed the cultural index of Chinese province regions. Using facter analysis method, the cultural capital extant level of Chinese province regions in 2007 will be estimated here. In the fourth chapter, I will give my opinion of specific solutions and policy suggestions .Through analyzing I have found four factors which affect the cultural capital accumulation most: the solid cultural factor, the cultural services factor, the cultural atmosphere factor and the new product level factor. I have also draw the conclusions that China's regional cultural capital exists serious imbalance. In the end of this text, I will give four suggestions: to strengthen cultural heritage protection and perfect infrastructure, promote the social cultural atmosphere, promote cultural industry development.
