Research On The Development Of Knowledge-based Service Industry In China

With the development of the world economic and technology, Tertiary industry in the world economy is becoming increasingly important. And knowledge-based service industry is the most active and fastest growing part. Compared with developed countries, China's knowledge-based service industry started late and is underdeveloped. But, knowledge-based service industry has an important role in China's industrial restructuring, increasing employment, and promoting consumption. The development of China's knowledge-based service industry has important strategic significance on China's economic.This paper is divided into eight parts. First, the paper discussed the writing background and significance as well as the main content, research methods and so on; And then described the relevant theory of knowledge-based service industry, laying the theoretical foundation for the following research; The following part focused on defining the concept of the knowledge-based service industry. After researching the generating, development and classification of the service industry, the paper brought forward the concept of knowledge-based service industry and determined the scope of the study. On this basis, the paper illustrated the generating and development of knowledge-based service industry at home and abroad firstly. And then from the empirical point of view, the paper demonstrated the importance of knowledge-based service industry in China's industrial restructuring, promoting employment and improving industrial linkage. In order to learn from other countries, the paper outlined the United States, the European Union, Japan and India's status and trends of development of knowledge-based service industry. Based on the analysis in the preceding, the sixth part studied China's knowledge-based service industry development status and the major problems, for example, the weak infrastructure, the low level of market-oriented, the imperfect legal system, difficulty for SME Development, and so on. Addressing the problems discovered and according to industrial economics, regulatory economics, the writer proposed a series of policy recommendations. The last part summarized the full text study, and pointed out the need for further research.
