A Research On The Development Of Modern Service Industry In Yingkou City

Modern service industry is playing a more and more important role in thedevelopment of national economy and its proportion in the structure of nationaleconomy is also increasing. The way to improve the level of modern service industryand service quality is becoming a hot research topic for both foreign and domesticscholars. The extant research discusses the development of modern service industryfrom the perspective of structure optimization of modern service industry, thedevelopment of service Agglomeration Area, space planning and so on. Thedomestic research on modern service industry mainly focuses on empirical study andcase study. Although these research has draws some conclusions on the developmentof modern service industry, these conclusions are comparatively dispersive and lacka generalization to the universal rule of the development of modern servicedevelopment.This research selects Yingkou City, a famous coastal city in Liaoning provinceand deeply analyzes the status, the measures it takes and the outcome in the processof developing modern service industry. On this basis, the research analyzes somemain problems the city is facing and the reasons in developing modern serviceindustry. Finally, we propose some measures in developing modern service industry.The conclusions can be summarized as the follows: Firstly, to enhance thedevelopment of agglomeration area of modern service industry by improving thecomprehensive effect of agglomeration area, manage the projects construction withinthe agglomeration area, strengthening the collaboration within the agglomerationarea and enhancing the horizontal ties among the agglomeration areas. Secondly, to promote the optimization and upgrading of industry structure by increasing the inputof science and technology and intensity of innovation. Thirdly, to enhance thetechnology content and quality of modern service industry by taking the newdevelopment model of O2O. Finally, accelerating development to intermediaryservice is a way to diminish the distance between Yingkou City and other developedareas. The conclusions drawn from this research enrich the theoretical research tomodern service industry and provide some reference for our country’s modernservice industry development. The structure of the research can be divided into thefollowing six chapters:Chapter One is the introduction part. This chapter introduces the researchbackground, objective and significance, research content, research method and thestructure of this research.Chapter Two is the literature review. This chapter systematically reviews theclassic theories, the extant research, the important conclusions. Firstly, it introducesthe classic theories in modern service industry field and then comments theircontribution and shortcomings of the extant research. Especially it analyzes thetypical case studies on domestic and foreign modern service industry, which lays afoundation for the following chapters on the comparison with Yingkou City’smodern service industry development.Chapter Three introduces the status of modern service industry of Yingkou City.The research selects Yingkou City as a typical case and describes its developmentstatus, the key industries’ development scale, the achievements and the measurestaken.Chapter Four is the SWOT analysis on Yingkou City’s modern service industry.This chapter thoroughly conducts a SWOT analysis on Yingkou City’s modernservice industry and makes a comparison with the extant case studies.Chapter Five proposes an analysis on the development models on Yingkou City’s modern service industry. On the basis of the previous chapter, some specificmeasures to enhance the level and quality of modern service industry for YingkouCity are proposed after the analysis of its advantages and disadvantages.Finally, we summarizes the conclusions and suggests the research directions forfuture research.In a word, the research takes Yingkou City, a domestic city which develops fastin modern service industry and creates some representative development models, asa case and comprehensively analyzes its development status, future developmentplanning and the problems in the process of modern service industry developmentthrough a deep explanation on the relevant theories and concepts on modern serviceindustry. On the above basis, the research proposes some specific measures todevelop Yingkou City’s modern service industry level and quality. First of all, toenhance the overall effect and interior cooperation of agglomeration area and reducethe breaks on industry chain; Secondly, optimizing service structure, includingincreasing the input of science and technology and intensity of innovation,cultivating certain area’s features and attracting foreign direct investment. Finally,integrative development of online and offline development, including acceleratethedevelopment of the E-commerce industrial park, exchange platform and cultivate theconsciousness of both enterprises and citizen. The research provides idea andreference for the development of Yingkou City’s modern service industry by thediscussion of the above development models.
