| With economic development and social progress, the tourism is developing rapidly. It is said to be a forever rising sun industry. The city as a major component of human civilization carrying people's dream and pursuit of urban civilization, however, has become a major tourist destination for a great many people. The development of urban tourism provides an economic impetus for the comprehensive development of the city, and the economic benefit drives the active development of the tourism among all cities. How can a city continuously put forward its new tourist products and improve its competitiveness? Based on analysis of the tourist products in Chengdu, this paper analyzes some relevant theories concerning urban tourism and the current methods, and research into the development of tourist products. This thesis takes Chengdu as an example, analyzing the development of tourist products in Chengdu and the innovative road for Chengdu to continuously develop the tourism, as makes theoretical and realistic significance for the development and innovation of the urban tourist products.This thesis consists of 5 parts as follows:The first part is an introduction, which overviews the background of the research and the trend of domestic and international research, establishes the methodology and structure of the research and sums up the innovations and the limitations of this thesis.The second part puts forward the theories for developing urban tourist products. Relevant concepts and the contents of urban tourism are provided. Explained are also the characteristics and classification of the urban tourist products, the traditional theories for the development of the tourist products including the principle, content and general process of the development of the tourist products, and the innovative theories for the development of the tourist products—the experiencing type tourism:the experiencing economy and the experiencing travel, the characteristics and types of the experiencing type tourist products, and the innovative model for developing the experiencing type tourist products.The third part analyzes the status quo of the tourist products in Chengdu, summarizes the general situation and status quo of the development of the tourist products in Chengdu and generalizes its existing problems.The fourth part puts forward the strategies for innovative development of tourist products in Chengdu. On account of the existing problems for development of the tourist products in Chengdu, this thesis puts forward the strategies for innovative development:enhancing the tourist image of Chengdu, establishing the tourist brand of Chengdu, building Chengdu as a green, ecological and garden city, improving the citizens'education and stressing the leisure and food culture. More investment and construction shall be given to the cultural field of Chengdu so as to make Chengdu a real cultural hub in the southwest region of China. We shall construct and optimize the new tourist product system, innovate in individual tourist products and routes and gives priority to development of regional tourist products. Priority shall be given to development of the experiencing type tourist products including experiencing leisure culture, museum, food culture, folk custom culture, handwork and other nonmaterial cultural heritage and so on. Attention shall also be given to building soft and hard facilities to enhance the tourist atmosphere.The fifth part concludes the thesis. Major conclusions are made, and based on theoretical research and analysis of development and innovation of the tourist products in Chengdu, this thesis also puts forward some suggestions for development and innovation of the tourist products in Chengdu.In the part of theoretical construction, based on the theories of domestic and international forthgoers in experiencing economy and empirical study, this thesis researches in-depth into the experiencing of tourist products in Chengdu.The development of tourist products must follow the development principle. The market economic law must be observed, and based on meeting the demands of the tourists, the tourist products with unique characteristics and local features shall be built up. The tourist products shall be diversified with more colorful connotation. The development of tourist products must be based on the investigation and evaluation of resources and stresses the thematical culture of the tourist products. The tourist products need a soul of tourist culture. The form shown by the tourist products shall eventually embody a kind of culture. The purpose for selecting the carrier of the tourist products and the forms of the carrier shall be to meet the demands of the tourists. The innovation of the tourist product innovation must be based on facts and maintain the authenticity of the products and their particular culture. Attention shall be given to their characteristics, making the tourist enjoy the pleasure. The tourist experience the core of the tourist products, aimed at pleasure obtained by the tourists by experiencing and participation. The development of tourist products shall have a concept of sustainable development, with attention paid to the space layout of the tourist products, scientific planning, innovative philosophy and sustainable development. In the process of development, attention shall be given to beneficial coordination with the surrounding resources to avoid optimization of benefits in the price of violating culture. |
