Since the reform and opening up, with China's rapid economic development, China's income gap the attention of scholars home and abroad, including urban-rural income gap in income inequality in the whole account for a large proportion. Chongqing, the western city of heavy industry, in the crown, the economic development has made impressive achievements, and still rapidly advancing. At the same time, Chongqing's urban-rural income gap has also showed a rising trend, higher than China's average level. Brought about an imbalance of high growth brought income disparities, especially in the income gap between urban and rural areas, has not been ignored.Economic growth and income inequality has long been linked by the people, then for a region's development, the urban-rural income gap and the economic growth what internal relations, urban-rural income gap between how the affecting a region's economic development? This paper argues that, theoretically speaking, the urban-rural income gap is not a source of economic growth, and do not directly impact on economic growth, but affect economic growth by other factors, factors that bridge an indirect impact on economic growth. Indirect effects of these factors have a bridge consumption, investment, savings, education, opening up and the level of financial development in the region.? In this paper, EVIEWS5.0 econometric software, based on the VAR model using the Johansen cointegration test, VECM error correction test and Granger causality test whether the above-mentioned number of factors acting on the income gap between urban and rural economic growth as a bridge factor to the empirical analysis. Analysis revealed,Urban-rural income gap a positive impact on economic growth; education and urban-rural income gap between savings and the role of a bridge on the economic growth factor; consumption and opening up the role of urban-rural income gap in economic growth, weak bridge factor; and investment and regional financial development will urban-rural income gap is not the role of a bridge on the economic growth factor.Based on the empirical findings, the following policy recommendations: First, efforts to increase the income of peasants and peasant consumption, and improve rural consumption structure, develop the rural consumer market. Second, to attract foreign direct investment, promote economic development. Third, the development of micro-credit, promote financial development in rural areas. 4, increase investment in education in rural areas to improve the situation of rural education, lack of resources, improve agricultural population, level of education.
