Study On The Residents' Income Gap Between Countryside And Urban Of Chongqing City

In this paper, income gap between urban and rural residents as the research object, selecting the relevant data which "Chongqing Statistical Yearbook" provides, specificly research it from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and deptly analysis the impact factors of urban-rural income gap, lastly, based on the perspective of coordinating the urban and rural policy design , putting forward relevant proposals.Firstly, analysing the status and evolution of the income gap between residents of city and rural areas in Chongqing. Using the method of Comparative Analysis to study it, in the views of Horizontal comparison and vertical comparison, Vertical comparison is mainly to study the law of time-space evolution, the result is that the income gap between residents of city and rural areas in Chongqing continued to expand. Horizontal comparison is compared Chongqing with National and other municipalities, the result is the level of Chongqing is much more than the National and other municipalities.Secondly, the factors which impacting the income gap between urban and rural residents continued to expand were studied. first pointed out urban-rural dual system, historical reasons, the low income of farmers were the main factors of impacting the income gap between urban and rural residents to expand by qualitative analysis , then through the establishment of multiple regression model, specificly analysis the degree of influence on the urban-rural income gap with various factors. Main conclusion is that urban-rural dual economic structure in Chongqing is the root of Chongqing urban-rural income gap.Finally, this article points out that the strategy of coordinating development of urban and rural must be guided according to the above argument and analysis, to take strong policy measures to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents.
