| ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is the result of integration of information technology with management science, which is the business management system standard of management principles, basic data, business processes, human resources, financial trends, computer software and hardware. It is helpful for different departments within the enterprise to share data and information, reduce costs and improve business processes, which makes ERP systems more attractive than other information systems. Especially the financial management module in the ERP system is different from other common financial accounting software. As a core part of ERP system, it can be interfaced and integrated with other modules within the system. which greatly reduces the errors and workload, saves time and labor, almost replacing of the traditional manual entry by the financial staff. More importantly, ERP software financial system consists generally of two parts, accounting part and financial management part. The accounting part is mainly used for recording, accounting, reflecting the funds change process and results in the enterprise economic activity.The financial management part is mainly based on accounting data to analyze and sort data, so as to provide required information for forecasts, decision-making and control activities for the company managements. This allows enterprise to judge market according to the actual data greatly increases the competitiveness of enterprise.As a large private oil retail chain group enterprise, Zhongcheng Petroleum Chain Co., Ltd. has more than 50 gas stations and 3 large oil and gas storage in Jilin Province, Beijing, Tianjin and Dandong, etc, with yearly sales volume of RMB 2 billion Yuan. As growth of the enterprise, Zhongcheng Company begun to use ERP system designed by ORACLE as enterprise management software in 2003. However, after 4 years, because the system fails to meet the business requirements, with poor personnel operation level, this company had to replace it with UFIDA NC ERP software. ORACLE ERP is one of the most advanced ERP software in the world. UFIDA NC ERP software has good responses in the domestic market, but in comparison with foreign ERP, there are still many shortcomings. But why Zhongcheng selects domestic software instead of ERP software selected abroad. In this paper, based on the Zhongcheng company implementation results of the two kinds of software, the author conducts a comparative analysis, summarizes the difference between domestic and foreign software, and concludes that different management styles shall lead to different results.we can get the conclusions as follows:(1) Before the implementation of ERP, the enterprise should compare the situation of enterprise with the condition of software. If not match, the enterprise should adjust it timely. Especially for incompatibility with the enterprise equipments and business processes, it must be reorganized.(2) In the domestic enterprises, the financial sector is the core of enterprise management department, but the ERP is the integration of enterprise business process within the whole enterprise, rather than single work of the financial department. The financial department should play a leading and key role, but not substitute for other department processes.(3) ERP is whole work that needs for participation of all members of enterprise, from top leader to the grass-root operators. Therefore, during project implementation, it needs to mobilize all forces, especially the top leader's decision and leadership, which is the key to the success of the project. (4) Enterprise ERP implementation is a long continuous operation process, so it is very important of the follow-up training and maintenance after the implementation of the project. For staff changes and changes in business processes, the enterprise must keep a perfect training and maintenance system to make software operate stably. |
