Faced with fact that market competence is becoming fiercer, it is necessary for enterprises to adjust their strategy as responses toward the continually changing environments in order to satisfy the request of their further development. It has now become the fashion of those executors to regard cooperation, consolidation, operation flow reconstituted as well as the utilization of strategic alliances as the most urging and reality concerning path. Organizational change will not only exert pacts on the way enterprises function, but the employees'work stressors may also be enhanced at the same time, which may even lead to harm of workers' physical condition. As is asserted by our predecessors, personality can influence the evaluation individuals make toward the same affair and thus leading to different decisions afterward. As a consequence, the cultivation of reasonable characteristics can help persons better through adversities by the means of releasing their stresses.Special specie of self-supporting personalities, which can be quoted as elements that have long existed as our traditional virtue while also share vitality in temporary society, is selected as the personality variable in this essay. Through the research on the relationship among work stressor, self-supporting personality and psychological health, this essay is aimed at substantiating the supposed influence exerted by self-supporting personality on the prediction of mental health. Among the ten characteristics of self-supporting personality, the finding of those that weigh more is also considered as one destination, which can be regarded as the expansion of a further study on self-supporting personality.A survey based on Stress Diagnostic Survey, Employee self-supporting personality Questionnaire and three components forms including Somatization, Depression and Anxiety of Symptom Check List 90(SCL-90) is taking on 535 employees who work for Chongqing Division of China United Telecommunication. It used spss16 7.0 package for the data-entry and analysis including the descriptive statistics differentiated analysis, the relevant analysis and multiple regression and statistical analysis. The main results are as follows1. It is found that in the relationship between occupational stress and psychological health, all dimensions of psychological health are positively related to corresponding occupational stress dimensions. (With P<0.01)2. While dimensions on individual flexibility has no relationship with that of psychological health, relationships between interpersonal initiative and anxiety as well as that between interpersonal open and somatization are both negative (with P<0.05). Meanwhile, it is obvious that other dimensions of self-supporting personality are negatively related to the three dimensions of psychological health (with P<0.01).3. It is also noticed that a majority of the dimensions of self-supporting personality are apparently negatively related with the level of occupational stress.4. With the help of multiple regression analysis, it is apparent that character confusion, character confliction, quantitative character confusion and career-development concerning, four dimensions on occupational stress, as well as self-open, self-responsibility and self-independence, three dimensions on self-supporting personality can apparently benefit the prediction on psychological health.
