Occupational adaptation is a common problem faced by individuals when they enter the workplace.Primary and secondary school teachers are responsible for teaching and educating people.Therefore,the occupational adaptation of new teachers is particularly important.To explore the personality characteristics of primary and secondary school teachers,the matching of people and organizations,and occupational adaptation characteristics and the relationship between them.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted using a sample of 408 teachers from 16 primary and secondary schools in each district of Hunan Province,using the Personal-Organization Matching Scale,the Occupational Adaptability Scale,and the Big Five Personality Scale."Three tools conducted a survey.SPSS statistical software was used to analyze the relationship between the level of human-organization matching and occupational adaptation of primary and middle school teachers,and the regulatory role of partial dimensions of Big Five personality in the statistical techniques of correlation analysis,regression analysis,and adjustment effect test.Research indicates:(1)There is no significant gender difference in the professional adaptability of primary and secondary school teachers,but there is a significant gender difference in the skills adaptation dimension.(2)There are gender differences in the extrovertedness and pleasantness of the Big Five personality in primary and secondary school teachers,and the scores of female teachers' extravertivity and appetite are higher than those of male teachers.(3)The degree of matching of people and organizations in primary and secondary school teachers has a significant positive predictive effect on career adaptability.(4)The extraverted dimension of the Big Five personality has a moderating effect in primary and secondary school teachers'human-organization matching and occupational adaptation.
