Research On Automatic Recommendation Of Statistic Thematic Maps' Expression Method

As the statistic thematic mapping enter the era of the "popularization of cartography",the normal users who have no professional cartography knowledge background begin to participate in map making and designing gradually.Because of the lack of statistic thematic mapping knowledge and experience,effect of statistic thematic maps,which the normal users design and product,are not very ideal.The choice of expression methods is the key of statistic thematic map prouction,which affects the scientificity and the information transmission effectiveness of the statistic thematic map.In view of this,the paper has carried out the research on automatic recommendation of statistic thematic map expression method,whose the main contents include:(1)This paper expounds the basic concept of statistic thematic map expression,and puts forward the thought that the automatic mechanism is recommended into statistic thematic map expression method,which is based on the actual demand of popular mapping.This thought reduces the difficulty of producting statistic thematic map by the normal users,and improves the rationality of the expression method selection.The paper discusses the significance of expression method of automatic recommendation technology,and analysizes research status,establishing the main research content and thought.(2)The classification system of statistic thematic map expression method is discussed.The paper puts forward 10 typical expression methods of statistic thematic map,studying the combination rule of expression method,and designs expreesion method recommend based on the element characteristics.Moreover,the disadvantages of traditional mapping mode are discuss,and the "mapping data-expression mehtod" automatic recommended mapping model is raised up.(3)The article constructs the basic thought of the mapping indicator generate based on elements feature extraction,putting forward the single element character features,single element variation degree,correlation characteristic of composite elements extraction method.The algorithm on the mapping indicator generating based on elements feature extraction is proposed,which is illustrated with the specific data instance.(4)The expression rules are analysized thoroughly,which can be divided into simple rules and combination rules.The simple rules include abstract and concrete rules,and the combination rules is on consist of explicit and implicit rules.The paper discusses the rules of each type of formal expression respectively,proposing automatic recommendation mechanism of expression method based on the rules.(5)The paper developes experiment module based on * * geographic information system platform.Traditional mapping mode of professional experimenters,traditional mapping mode of normal experimenters,automatic recommendation mode of normal experimenters,are selected on expression method choice experiment respectively for the same set of data,which could verify the effectiveness and scientificity of the automatic recommendation mechanism.And the following conclusions is proposed: statistic thematic map expression method of automatic recommendation mechanism has a guiding role to the poplar maping.
