The Environmental Effects Of The Shaanxi Province Fdi Analysis

Owing to rich in resources and the improvement of investment environment, Shaanxi province attracted more FDI and industry transfer from Eastern districts. Because of the unreasonable structure of FDI in Northern Shaanxi, Southern Shaanxi and the Middle of Shaanxi caused varying degrees, different types of environmental and ecological damage to different regions. This article is expected to make some useful suggestions to make sure that we can reduce the negative effect on our environment to a minimum degree.Firstly, the paper elaborated the foreign direct investment in Shaanxi from the total scale perspective, industry constitution perspective and country-specific perspective, with both quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis used, finding The main problems of FDI in Shaanxi. And then it described the pollution condition in Shaanxi focusing on "three industrial wastes" (waste gas, waste water and industrial residue).Secondly, an econometric analysis model was applied to analyze the relevance and cause-effect relationship between foreign direct investment and pollution level in different regions, and as well to show the trends relation between them. Then it analyzed the Factors influencing FDI environmental effects.On the basis of above analysis, the government should make policies to attract foreign investment to the industries with a relatively small pollution,and make full use of the environmental effects of structure and technology, also depend on comparative advantages and promote industrial upgrading.
