With computer technology developing rapidly in recent years, people pay a long time on the exploration and research of the design of computer aided technology, and make a series of achievements. This paper combined the citic heavy industries project "1100 double base reversible rolling process parameters of HC rolling mill" with the national science and national technology supporting plan "large castings and forgings manufacture key technology and equipment development", to research the digital design on the mill with the computer aided technology.Taking Pro/E as a platform, this paper creates the Pro/TOOLKIT application in VC + + 6.0 environment by using the VC AppWizard and creates the interface of application by using the function of Pro/TOOLKIT and the technology of MFC. It expatiates on the method of building the parametric model of HC rollers, then set up the 3-dimension model and standard parts library. At the time of designing a new product, the system adjusts the model and then creates a new model controlled by the measures and can automatically generate two-dimensional engineering graphics.According to the function and construction features of the HC mill, this paper researched the mill's virtual assembly technique based on the coordinate system, and discussed the pose transformation of assembly components and definition method of coordinates in the assembly components, in path method based on further research, realize the automatic assembly; rolling mill Will global parameters into the virtual assembly variant design, which could make the assembly model design parameters and global parameters database corresponding parameters change is consistent, realized the component models update.With large finite element software MARC, this paper analyzed the simplified model of rolling mill. The key parts frame, rolls, etc, which has verified test and the rationality of the design of components. Through the finite element simulation concluded that the force of bending roll, intermediate roller channeling roller mill amount parameters on the transverse stiffness, longitudinal stiffness, the influence law of curve and many conditions between roller pressure distribution curve, the design and application to provide for the scientific basis.Finally,introduced the system software's interface and the implementation process of the function modules.
