Cultural Research Of Ming And Qing Shelf Bed Based On Semiotics

The shelf bed is an important part of China traditional furniture, it embodies the characteristics of the traditional small wooden Chinese process, construction method of mapping Chinese traditional architecture, is an important part of the living environment. Different users exhibit different design styles and techniques.Semiotics is a scientific theoretical system, it can effectively analyse the internal relationship on the symbol system. The application of Semiotics in design have been very extensive reading of the deep culture and the application of design effectively. This paper introduces briefly the basic concept and theory system of Semiotics, combined with the symbolic nature of the Ming and Qing Dynasties bed shelf of sign language on the induction, combined R · Barthes’s Semiotics Theory from the denotation and connotation of the shelf bed of sth Rymbols.
