In China’s natural gas industry, unconventional gas accounted for a large proportion, their production is facing geographically dispersed wide, higher costs and other characteristics, therefore improving the efficiency of natural gas production, reducing production costs, increasing safety, improving the accuracy and real-time production monitoring is particularly important.This paper derives from China petroleum innovation fund project (2014D-5006-0603),it uses the ZigBee wireless sensor to set up a network, monitors the field of environmental data. The system consists of three components: wireless sensor network, gateway, and remote monitoring center. ZigBee protocol set up a network using the wireless sensor network nodes which distribute on natural gas wells, collecting every oil well’s oil pressure, casing pressure, temperature, the voltage of sensor nodes. Parameters transmitted by the terminal node to the coordinator node, and transmit its to remote monitoring center by GSM wireless transceiver module. The system can transmit data periodically, to complete the monitoring of environmental parameters, can also transmit data when the parameters mutated which exceeds the threshold, regardless of whether the cycle time.Finally points out the shortage of this thesis research and in need of improvement.
