In recent years, china today fuelled by fast growth and rapid urbanization and living conditions improved, the garbage siege is emerged as an urgent and challengeable issue in most cities around china. How to manage municipal solid waste, set an environmentally sustainable path has become the focus point of the public. This article analyses the present situation of all aspects of municipal solid waste, after profiting from the urban special legislation and overseas legislation, put forward to reasonable suggestions to improve the municipal solid waste management in china.This article is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the municipal solid waste management and its fundamental principles. It not only analyses the definition and significance of the municipal solid waste management, but expresses the evolution mechanism and guiding principles of the municipal solid waste in china. The theories show that it is the necessary requirement for circular economy to manage municipal solid waste classification, it is the inevitable way accomplishes the municipal solid waste harmlessness, resource and reduction, and can solve the problem of waste disposal and the garbage siege.The second part introduces the link which sorts out the municipal solid waste when abandoned. It is a key prerequisite for the effective management of garbage to abandon the municipal solid waste sorting. Therefore we should seek the solutions from innovating in government management system, strengthening corporate responsibility and improving public participation.
