As a typical circular weft knitting machinery, Seamless underwear machine was designedfor producing of high-grade seamless knitwear and underwear which were upgrading products ofgeneral knitwear products. Currently, high-grade equipment of seamless knitting is mainlydependent on imports. The domestic research of seamless knitting technology was started latewhich had been monopolized by the Italian, German and other foreign companies. Althoughthere have been counterfeit equipment, it has a wide gap between foreign equipment anddomestic equipment in equipment’s functionality and performance. Especially, the computercontrol system which is core component of seamless underwear machine, not only lacks a fewfunction but also the reliability and stability need to be improved. So it is necessary to researchan automatic seamless underwear machine’s control system which can break the monopoly of theinternational technology and promote the development of industry.Through the analysis of the seamless underwear machine’s mechanical structure, weavingcraftwork and its control requirements, put forward an overall design scheme of automaticseamless underwear machine. According to a design idea of hierarchical system structure, thewhole system is divided into three layers which are named human-computer interaction layer,real-time main control layer and driving layer. This chapter specifically discusses in three layermodule include the two aspects that are control system hardware design and softwaredevelopment. The human-computer interaction layer uses a S3C6410as its CPU unit. Study onthe using of the dual-port RAM circuit which is built by the FPGA chip’s internal logic circuit torealize the data transmission between the human-computer interaction layer and the real-timemain control layer. This paper describes the customization of Windows CE6.0operating systemplatform and the development of HMI application in detail. The real-time control layer usesSTM32F407as its core unit. This chapter discusses the hardware and software design of thereal-time control layer whose analysis of pattern file, data interaction between the driving layer,various types of sensor signals’ reception and analysis, servo motor’s control. Driver layercontrol unit includes solenoid valve driving unit, needle selection driving unit and the densitymotor driving unit. They are all interactive data with the real-time control layer by way of RS485and CAN industrial fieldbus. This chapter uses the modular design idea to design the software and hardware of all the driving units in separate.Make a test and analysis of the overall control system functions verified that the design ofall system is feasible. The experimental indicates a result that the overall control system isreliable and real-time with a good economic market and engineering prospect.
