With the tendency of economic transition and industry upgrading, precise gear box is more andmore applied in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics, robot, precise device, servo controlsystem and so on. However, during the process of using, we have to face with the problems liketransmission accuracy and rigidity, in accordance with the insufficiency of worldwide precisegear box precision testing equipment, and the domestic lap of the field too, which definitelyhinders the development of the relevant industry, as a result, the detection of the transmissionerror of the gear box is becoming more and more important.This paper aims to bring up a test system which can measure the transmission error of precisegear box, but with higher integrity, higher reliability, lower cost and easier for later maintenanceand upgrading. Servo motor, reducer, rotary encoder, magnetic powder brake, data acquisitioncard are mainly used in the experiment, and the software part is mainly realized by LabVIEW.Meanwhile, the paper also looks to future of the field in the domestic development and theprocess of marketization. Aiming at the above goals, as follows is the specific work ofthis research:(1) Based on the review of the current domestic and overseas precise gear box transmissionerror detection device, we have brought up an overall plan of precise gear box transmissionerror detection system, viewing from higher reliability, lower cost and easier for latermaintenance and upgrading, including the driving device of gear box and enter-angle sensorintegrated in the servo motor and its encoder, the other devices are magnetic powder brake,rotary encoder, data acquisition card and so on.(2) Conforming the specific hardware model selection of the precise gear box transmissionerror detection device in this paper.(3) Introducing the testing principles in the precise gear box transmission error detection system,and conforming pulse subdivision counting measuring method to be the detection methodof the testing experiment.(4) Developing the testing system LabVIEW up-lever computer based on the experimentalprogram.(5) Testing the transmission error of the precise gear box by the devices developed based onthis paper, and further discussing the problems and solution during the testing process, eventually coming to the conclusion.
