With the development of society and economy, the development of road transportand logistics industry show rapid growth. Road transport of dangerous goods, as animportant part of road transport, although the proportion is small in the total volume ofgoods transport, but grows rapidly. Because the characteristics of dangerous goods isflammable, explosive, toxic and corrosive, once the vehicles carrying dangerous goodsleak during road transport, fire or explosion and other accidents will happen. So the lifeand health of residents near the accident and the property will be inevitably hurt, at thesame time, may cause very serious damage to the surrounding environment. We have arelatively perfect system of laws on administration of dangerous goods transport, butpay less attention to the protection of the environment interests. There are manyinadequacies of environmental protection on the specific provisions of laws andregulations, the theoretical research of scholars, and the actual operation of dangerousgoods transport industry, all these make the status of the legal system of environmentalprotection concerned.This article focuses on providing a theoretical basis and policy support for solvingenvironment problems caused by dangerous goods transport. The first part is anintroduction of the basic theory of dangerous goods transport, then through the researchof dangerous goods transport legal system and environmental protection laws, points outthat our country legal defects in dangerous goods transport management system andthe deficiencies of environment benefit protection. By comparing the foreign advancedexperiences, proposes we should enhance and perfect legal system and regulations onenvironment protection.
