Laser arc hybrid welding is an advanced welding technology, in contrast to arc welding and laser welding, the hybrid welding has obvious advantages. By the innovation of researchers, the hybrid welding has a extensive development, and it will be the important skill for the future of high-end equipment manufacturing. The purpose of this work is to design a new type of laser- arc hybrid welding equipment, that arc torch can be adjusted in time and the relative position of the laser torch during welding, and can adjust the distance between the welding head and materials, can adjust the welding torch angle. Such joints are mainly used to welding some Complex three-dimensional curve varying weld.Firstly, start from the laser- arc hybrid welding theoretical knowledge, in-depth study of the basic principles of laser hybrid welding, the primary composite form, technology and other related theories. Then have further understanding with the existing laser hybrid welding equipment, to expand design ideas, and lay the theoretical foundation for the design of the device. Then propose binding complex welded joints theoretical specific requirements, establish a preliminary program. According to the preliminary program, complete the structural design. The main work of the structural desgn is the moving mechanism designing,which include three parts: 1、a rotating mechanism,for implementing 360°rotation of the arc welding around the laser welding; 2、the translation mechanism,for implementing hybrid welding head up and down in the vertical direction; 3、the angle adjustment mechanism,for change the angle and the distance of the arc head and the laser head. In this work, I summarize the working principle and the embodiment of mechanisms firstly. Then, design each part of the device and select the appropriate standard equipment.For the possible structural design problems,here using PRO/E and ANSYS co-simulation method to do some simulation analysis after the completion of the device design work. Analytical work has two main aspects: 1、Analyse the static of key parts of the device. Part of the analysis includes Ring slider and circular orbit of the rotating mechanism、The base portion、translation mechanism、hybrid welding head support portion. 2、Analyse the dynamics of hybrid welding head device. Including modal analysis and harmonic analysis of the whole device,for checking the impact of the servo motor on the device; and harmonic analysis of the hybrid welding head portion, for checking the impact of stepper motor on the device. Results of the analysis showed that the design of the structure is safe to use, and can meet the design requirment.Laser hybrid welding head is designed in line with expectations, the premise can ensure the realization of more complex welding quality welding seam curve.
