Micro cutting technology as a low-cost and fast way of tiny parts processing mode, has been widely used in many fields of aviation, communications, optical and other fields. As the important part of micro machining, the quick wear of the tool is still the key to restrict the cutting tool life and high-speed and efficiency. In recent years, the research and practice of tribology and bionics show that the friction pair surface is not more smooth and more wear-resisting, conversely, with a range of non-smooth morphology of surface tend to have better wear resistance, give the tool-chip friction condition brings a new research direction. In this paper, according to the adhesive wear problem of aluminum alloy cutting, bionic micro texture was applied to the surface of carbide cutting tool, the surface micro texture tool in the application of aluminum alloy machining has carried on the exploratory study.In this paper, the micro grinding technology is applied to the bionic micro texture of carbide cutting tools, through the finite element analysis and cutting tests to study the reducing friction of anti sticking effect about micro texture to carbide cutting tools. The main research contents are listed as follow:1. Selected four kind of typical non-smooth bionic micro texture, namely concave shape, convex shape, groove shape and ribbed shape, and established the mathematical model respectively. The friction reduction mechanism of the non-smooth bionic micro texture is analyzed. In addition, it also introduces the micro texture mathematical model and micro texturing processing method of tool surface, selecting the reasonable processing parameters, using micro grinding technology to process the different direction and size of micro groove on the rake face of cemented carbide cutting tool, and the surface morphology were measured.2. Finite element software DEFORM was used to the three-dimensional finite simulation of aluminum alloy orthogonal cutting processing using micro textured tools and non textured tool, the effect of the micro-texture spacing, cutting speed and depth of cut on cutting force and cutting temperature was revealed during the aluminum alloy cutting process using non textured tool and different types of micro texture tools.3. The different types of micro-texture tools were made by using micro grinding technology, it were used in aluminum alloy process orthogonal cutting experiments, and analyze the cutting force and bonded area of non textured tool and micro textured tool under the condition of with/without lubricant, study the influence of different types of micro texture on the tool cutting performance and analysis the friction reduction and anti adhesive of micro texturing tool.4.For the ultra high strength steel of hard machining materials, the cutting simulation of different kinds of micro texture tools is carried out, and the distribution of positive pressure, friction force and cutting temperature of cutting tools is analyzed. At the same time, the process of non texture drill and different types of micro texture drill drilling ultra high strength steel is simulated, analyzes the distribution of cutting temperature in the cutting process, compared with non texture drill, the results show that micro texture drill can significantly reduce cutting temperature and the cooling effect of transverse groove drill is best.
