High speed and precision CNC machine tool bearings are the core component of high-end CNC machine tools. Its quality plays a decisive role in the CNC machine tool’s accuracy, life and reliability. With the design, manufacturing and operation processes of high-end bearings continuous refinement, the data information of bearings is growing exponentially so that the traditional data management methods are more and more unable to meet the bearing enterprises management requirement. At present, the rapid development of internet technology, computer technology and database technology, and the wide and mature application of information systems, it makes the bearing industries opening the era of information. While based on the theory of product lifecycle management(PLM) to develop data management system can manage CNC machine tool bearings’ data or information comprehensively, rapidly and real-time, in order to improve management efficiency and enhance enterprise competitiveness.This paper bases on the whole lifecycle information process of high speed and precision CNC machine tool bearings, and aims to develop a set of whole life cycle data management system, which includes the design, production even to recycle stages of high precision CNC machine tool bearings. The main research contents and results are as follows:1 The overall planning and design of high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings lifecycle data management system.It has analyzed the high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings’ information flow from the detailed design, production manufacture, installation and commissioning, operation and maintenance, scrap recycling and other aspects. Through the demand analysis of users, the bearing management standards actually and decentralized information integration, it projects the system overall. As a result, the design subsystem, manufacture subsystem, running subsystem and so on has been confirmed. The detail function modules have been designed as well. And then data system architecture structure has been constructed.2 The database design of high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings lifecycle data management system.According to the long management cycle, multiple information types, wide data range and other features, based on the research results, bearings parameters have been classified. The metadata model of E-R has been designed based on ontology. Then the system use case diagram, activity diagram and deployment diagram have been designed by adopting the standard modeling language. The database was established by norm theory at last. That is to say, through the determination of parameters content and the design of concept and logic model, it developed the high speed precision CNC machine tool bearing database system.3 The design and development of high-speed precision CNC machine tool bearings lifecycle data management system software.According to the principle of software development and user habits, using Visual Studio 2010 software development tools, the program development model and software form were designed and developed. Though the database which was built by SQL Server 2008 was added to the solution, the development tool has been connected with the background database. The external heterogeneous data was integrated into the system database via extraction, translation and loading technique. And the operation and interaction of system have been tested.4 The functions achievement of high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings lifecycle data management system.The system provides the necessary data, standards and compute functions for design stage of the high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings. It can record the quality information, and carry on the statistical analysis to the data in the actual production process. It can track running states, on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis in the process of operation, and manage the data of fault and repair, as well as the recycling process. At last, it realizes all the data management of high speed precision CNC machine tool bearings whole life cycle.
