The coal industry is one of the most important industry in the national economy construction, Air compressor is commonly used in coal mining operation of production equipment. Because of mine operation in harsh environment, large power consumption of air compressor unit, maintenance difficult, backward traditional monitoring method and a series of problems. Therefore, to study and solve these problems, improve the performance of air compressor unit has important practical significance.This article is the design of based on the air compressor of Xuzhou Mining Group Sanhejian mine construction, it is still using traditional relay to control air compressor unit, low degree of automation, not easy to monitor, fault, maintenance quantity is big, but also human monitoring. Long time operation, easy fatigue, causing potential safety problems.This article is divided into two parts: The first part aimed at the flaws of the air compressor unit and put forward four solutions. By from performance indicators, system configuration, reliability and economic efficiency four comprehensive comparison, the selection of air compressor distributed monitoring system are determined. The project mainly through the fieldbus to the sensor, measuring instrument, compressor, programmable controller, control cabinet dispersion equipment are connected,, the signal parameters send to the centralized monitoring computer configuration, while the information transmitted to the network management computer for data exchange. Solution of the pressure sensor and the air bag pressure on the compressor outlet pipe is measured, the measured signal is converted into an electrical signal to the regulator, the regulator inside the PID operation, and then the operation of the control signals to the inverter to adjust its frequency to change the motor speed to achieve the purpose of regulation. According to the signal of upper or lower switch frequency converter, PLC control the amount of the start-stop air compressor unit. There are variable frequency and power frequency control circuit designed in the system, to ensure that any fault occurs, all the way to be able to continue to safety production. Through the field put into use, it confirmed the feasibility of the scheme, make the system safe, reliable, energy saving, convenient operation, obvious economic and social benefits. On the basis of the actual completion,the second part of the project propose gray prediction PID control algorithm for the efficiency of the system, adjust the motor speed. It can improve the controlled object has a time-varying, nonlinear and hysteresis characteristics, so as to improve the system performance. The simulation proved that the grey predictive control is shorter than conventional PID controller, small overshoot, and strong robustness.
