AThe technology of dry powder process have the very good development prospects because it is a kind of ceramic powder process which can greatly reduce energy consumption, dust emissions, cost of production of ceramic and improve the level of environmental protection. Due to there have not enough research on the technology of dry powder process, and still have several technical problems was not solved, so this powder process technology does not adopt widely. In this paper,it mainly researched on application of dry powder process technology in the production of ceramic outer wall tiles, providing a reference of dry powder process technology will applied to actual production ultimately.Dry powder process of various factors affecting the performance of the ceramic tiles were studied by orthogonal method. The experimental result was evaluated by the dry strength of ceramic body, modulus of rupture, breaking strength and water absorption of ceramic body after sintering. According range analysis of orthogonal method table results to arrange the order of factors affecting the performance of ceramic body, and using analysis of variance to determine the significant factors level. In three of clay content, the moisture content of particle after the granulation, pressure of ceramic press factors, the most significant factor is clay content which affects the performance of ceramic tiles largest.Different crystal phases of clay have different performance in grains production of dry power process and the properties of ceramic body.When clay show higher plasticity characteristic,dry strength of its ceramic body is relatively higher. The result show that various raw materials get to the same fineness after grinding, and then prepared by mixing the them, the blank not only mobility poor but also grading less than ideal requirement. Through a separate milling raw clay, the clay is fully grinding under the action of water and grinding force simultaneously and to join the clay slurry instead of water in dry powder process, mobility and gradation of powder can improved. Author confirmed that if the clay particles size after grinding rather with other materials particles, the clay particles may be in central place. The barren materials adsorb on the surface mainly after the grinding process. If the clay particles size are much smaller than other raw materials, the large specific surface of clay particles may be able to "encapsulate" particles of other raw materials, the coating clay could bond with variety of barren materials, the clay materials adsorb on the surface mainly after the grinding process.The latter approach can improve the dry strength of the ceramic body1.35 MPa, breaking strength 922.9N, modulesof rupture31.74 MPa, lower water absorption2.85%, the comprehensive performance of ceramic products are increased ultimately.Author also compared different amounts and different components of clay on the comprehensive performance of ceramic body. When the content of clay is up 20%, getting a good candidate for comprehensive performance of ceramic body and product.Finally, to compare dry powder process with spray drying from the production process flow, energy consumption standard.The dry powder process not only equipment smaller, but also saving energy 35.2% compared with wet powder process.
