With the development of economy, the demands for cold rolled strip are continuously increasing, users also put forward higher requirements on the quality of strip. In order to improve strip quality and better to meet the demands of market, countries in the world as much as possible to improve the production equipment and the level of technology, thus temper mill has been widely studied and applied. Temper rolling is the final step to ensure the quality of cold rolled strip and the elongation is the mechanical properties to measure the quality of strip. Currently in the flatness control of temper mill for strip, the most vexing problem is the wide variety of plate-shaped defects, so study the integrated control methods of panel shaped and elongation have great practical significance.Firstly introduced the basic knowledge of the temper mill, technological processes and control methods, on the basis analyzed the characteristics of elongation control system, affecting factors and composition structure.The mathematical model of elongation is deduced according to the kinematic equilibrium and rolling deformation theory. Then build rolling force model and tension model to adjust elongation.Secondly based on the strip-shaped defects, researched the principle and basic composition of hydraulic bending roll system, then established the mathematical model.Due to the temper process is complex and interference, considering the different material thickness and some unpredictable factors, on the basis of established the elongation control dynamic model,using the conventional PID and adaptive fuzzy PID control comparison, then concluded the advantages of adaptive fuzzy PID. Fuzzy adaptive PID controller achieved parameters self-adjusting of different thickness strip, improved the elongation control precision, can better to meet project requirements.According to the characteristics of hydraulic bending roll system requirements rapid and continuous tracking the roll bending force,introduced the CMAC and PID compound control algorithm. Then analyzed its basic knowledge and control structure, successfully used to the system of roll bending. Practice shows that the traditional PID control is difficult to meet the accuracy requirement,CMAC and PID control strategy improves tracking accuracy, quicken the response speed, improved the performance and raised the stability of system,effectively eliminate flatness defects.
