Research On Residents′ Garbage Classification Problems In Guangzhou

Garbage is inevitable in the process of human production and life of the product. With the development of human society, the deepening of urbanization process, waste emissions has increased rapidly. Garbage management affects the quality of human life and society’s sustainable development. Since China reform and opening-up, as we know, our country has achieved big development of economics, but process of the garbage classification got a problem, large and medium-sized cities of China have faced with the plight of junk siege. In June 2000, the national Ministry of construction of China set Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guilin, Xiamen city as the pilot city of life garbage collection and classification. But after nearly 15 years of pilot, almost all have failed. In April 1, 2011, Guangzhou city promulgated and carried out “temporary garbage classification management rules of Guangzhou City”, this is the first city garbage classification management regulations of mainland city. With the garbage classification work in Guangzhou City, some inevitable problems occurred in the process of management.Garbage classification must be whole social mobilization system, we must rely on conscious participation of residents, This study focused on garbage classification practices terminal, select a representative communities to investigate, trying to point through the understanding of the situation about garbage classification of community residents, to understand the behavior of residents tendencies and current garbage management methods and tools, analyze the factors that affect the residents participate in garbage classification. In order to identify problems and find effective ways to solve the problem, through street investigate in Guangzhou garbage classification surveys, this study suggests that a significant problem for Guangzhou residents of garbage classification is: residents general lack of of waste separation consciousness; the other relevant policies and garbage Specific measures still can not effectively guide and restrict the behavior of the residents In this regard, this study aim to enhance the effectiveness of garbage classification of Guangzhou, residents should cultivate conscious behavior training, residents of behavioral guidance and research more targeted measures of the behavior of coercion.
