| Thermal conductivity theorr of mold zone and soray zone and all kindsof facts affecting metallurgical quality in continuous casting process hasbeen stated in this paper . To improve the metallurgical quality, manymatheanatical nodels have been developed to simulate metallugicalsolidification and thermal conductivity - The mathenatical model which hasbeen tested in practice production can be used to optimize the parsoeterof water cooling. BaoSteel imported round continous casting amchine in l994from DAN MARK company. The inner structure of low carbon steel special 20#and 32Mn6 was unreasonable and lots of crack was found. After analysing, itis found that the volyme and distributing of water in spray zone wasunreasonable. Under the instruction of mathematical model, water volume wasdecreased and distributing was optimized. So the inner structure can bebetter than before, and the quality can be imoroved. |
