Based on the addition-hydrolysis reaction of benzimidazolium iodide with Grignard reagent reported by our research group, some new reactions of benzimidazolium iodide with other nucleophilic reagents were studied in this paper.The reaction of benzimidazolium iodide with ethyl malonate in the existence of base was studied, and a new convenient synthetic method of P -keto acids was provided.The reaction of 2-alkyl benzimidazolium iodide with alkenyl magnesium haloride and the reaction of 2-alkenyl benzimidazolium iodide with Grignard reagent were studied, a new synthetic method for unsaturated ketone was provided.The addition-hydrolysis reaction was applied to the synthesis of unsaturated aldehyde by the -reaction of 2-H benzimidazolium iodide with alkenyl magnesium bromide.a -Nitroketone and a -nitroaldehyde were prepared by the addition-hydrolysis reaction of benzimidazolium iodide with nitromethane anion.Synthesis of tetraazaparacyclophane was studied, tetraferrocenylsulfonyl tetraazaparacyclophane was prepared.The mechanism and influence of reaction condition on the yield were discussed.
