Ethernet-based Integrated Dnc System

In this paper, the structure of hardware and software of the DNC system based on mould CAD/CAM, CNC and LAN (local area network) are investigated. A scheme of integrated DNC system is introduced.By using Ethernet TCP/IP converter, field devices can be connected into LAN of enterprise. So data communication, data acquisition and real-time control etc can be implemented. And a new type of communication structure of DNC system is designed.An integrated DNC system is developed. The system makes it possible for host computer to communicate with field devices. The system also has the abilities of editing NC file, processing system information and initializing system etc.The system has been tested, corrected for many times. Now, It can be run stably. It can increase the production efficiency on mould manufacturing, and the degree of automation. The system can communicate with other automatic manufacturing system, such as FMS, CIMS. So the system offers certain flexibility and expansibility.
