Epoxy acrylate(EA) resin is an important photosensitive resin, in which bisphonolic epoxide was most widely used in the field of Rapid Protoyting. The synthesis process of EA resin was studied?Influences of ratio of reacting material, selection of catalyst and reaction temperature on the resin properties were discussed . The article described the priciples of radition curing process, formulation of UV curing coatings, selection of light sources and raw materials. Reaction conditions were optimized by orthogonal test.At the second part of this papers, a low viscosity modified epoxy resin has been prepared based on the reaction epoxy resin with dihydroxyl compound polyethylene glycol, then esterified with acrylicacid to form a low viscosity epoxy acrylate for UV-curingo The influence of ratio of dihydroxyl compound and epoxy resin, types of catalyst, amount of catalyst, reaction temperature and reaction time on the two reaction and properties of epoxy acrylate has been discussed . The optimum reaction conditions for epoxy modification and esterification with acrylic acid are given,, By means of FT-IR and TG/DGA and other Characteristic methods, a cured insoluble material showing increased hardness, flexibility and erodent resistance has been formed by a short UV-irradiation of blends of modified epoxy acrylate, active monomer and photoinitiator.
