We synthesized the ligands of 4-carboxyphenoxyacetic acid and 4-N,N(biscarboxymethyl)-benzoic acid. Complexing of the 4-carboxyphenoxyacetic acid with the transition metal in DMF yielded three novel complexes. All three crystals were determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. C18H18CuO12 (1) crystallizes in C2/c with a = 12.298(3) A , b = 7.3803(15) A, c = 21.413(4) A, B = 94.00(3)° , Z=6. The coordination sphere about Cu( II ) is quasi-octahedral configuration in the crystal. Its crystal structure consists of layers based on intermolecular hydrogen-bonding. C12H9NO6Zn (2) crystallizes in P2(l)/n with a = 7.7809(16) A , b = 10.010(2) A, c = 16.942(3) A, B =99.26(3) ° , Z=4. Each Zn is hexacoordinate, between Zn-Zn forms clusters, Zn-Zn clusters is linked by the bridged-bond of carboxy group. Both two ligands and four zinc atoms form brick-shaped polymer. C9H12CdO8 (3) crystallizes in P2(l)/c with a = 7.1251(14) A, b= 16. 359(3) A, c= 10.156(2) A, B =99.68(3) °, Z=4 . In the crystal Cd is heptacoordate. Its structure consists of ID helix chians.
