Tianjin Binhai New Area, The Ecological Carrying Capacity Evaluation

Today, with highly development in economy, a lot of cities are carrying a large quantity of populations and mighty strength of social and economic activities with rigorous and weak ecological environment. In 1994, the government of Tianjin City puts forward the way of making new economy increasing point in Tianjin Coastal New-Region. So cognition and study of the present situation of the ecological environment of the city,inquiry into the sustainable development and the path and counterplan to adjust and control of the ecological environment of the city , adoption of the valid measure to prevent the ecological environment problems and to improve the ecological environment quantity, and promotion of the positive cycle of the ecological system of the city, have become a very urgent mission.As a result , on the foundation of the ecological carrying capacity being used to prop up the sustainable theory, this thesis makes the comprehensive e-valuation of the ecological carrying capacity in Tianjin Coastal New-Region,and studies the regional sustainable development in this area.The full thesis includes a few aspects as follows:(l)Based on analyzing the formation, evolution, development and theories of the Carrying Capacity, the concept,characteristics,content and meaning of the Ecological Carrying Capacity are further made clear.The author think the ecological carrying capacity is the foundation of the sustainable development, and studying of the ecological carrying capacity is benefit to put the sustainable development into practice and perfect the sustainable development theory.(2)On the basis of introducing the natural environment,social and economic condition of Tianjin Coastal New-Region,analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of sustainable development in Tianjin Coastal New-Region,especially the main problems of the natural environment, society and economy, to decide thecarrying capacity of the regional ecological environment to the strength and scale of the development , and to understand the ecological potential of the regional development , the thesis established the comprehensive evaluation index system of ecological carrying capacity in Tianjin Coastal New-Region.(3)This thesis researches the compound ecosystem, investigates the compre-hensive evaluation methods of ecological carrying capacity. It includes : giving flexibility degree, carrying degree and pressure degree as three sub-system of ecological carrying capacity evaluation and the basic index, making use of the Principle Component Analysis to comprehensively evaluate the sub-system and the comprehensive index of the ecological carrying capacity in Tianjin Coastal New-Region,and computes the development condition in the last five years. In the light of the result,it puts forward the increasing trend of the comprehensive index of the ecological carrying capacity in Tianjin Coastal New-Region , but along with the continuously development of the region , with the continuously increasing of the population quantity , and with the continuously increasing of the pressure of the economic development and the social living level exaltation, Coastal New-Region faces the increasing trend of the environment pollution an-d the worsing trend of the ecosystem problems.(4)According to the evaluation results and the actual situation of Tianjin Coastal New-Region in combination, the thesis proceedes the discussion of the strategy and counterplan of the ecological sustainable development in Tianjin Coastal New-Region in the last part , analyzes theoretically the process of the sustainable developping mode of the region, puts forward the direction,scale of regional social and economic activities, and counterplan, measures of regional ecological protect and plan , mutually harmonious with the ecological carrying capacity, through the management and adjust of the restrict factors of the regional development-the water, the land, the air, the sea and the solid waste, it looks for the reasonable and valid development ways of the ecological sustainable d...
