With the development of the society and the advancement of the life of people, the lawn is playing a more and more important role. But, the present growing ways of the lawn have more or less disadvantageous problems when used to grow lawn:1 , The working procedure of growing lawn is cockamamie, the waste of manpower and material resources is serious.2, The growing ratio and uniformity of lawn can't be assured.3 , The lose of seed is serious, especially when used to the sloping field.4, The mightiness and the capacity of enduring being treaded and shattered and the longevity of service can't be assured.The above disadvantages affect directly the application of the lawn in the life of people and especially in the physical project.The main research content of this paper is: to use the existing experimental facility in the lab, and make some reconstructions with it, to find out a way putting the seeds into theyarns to invent a new kind of producing lawn--seed yarn. Then, we test the capabilityof the seed yarn, and find out the factors that affect the number of the seeds put into the yarn, also the effect of the twist of the seed yarn on the strength, the breakage, the weight, the period of pullulating and so on.The subjective and objective experiments indicate that, the way producing seed yarn that this paper conceives is feasible. The seed yarn not only has the function of growing lawn, but also has some functions of seed tape, geo-textile, geo-net. It is advantageous to the strength and longevity of service. In addition, the seed yarn can also be regarded as a kind of decorating material to use.The manufacture of seed yarn and subsequent seed cloth will play an important role in the development and betterment of the growing of the lawn, the improvement of people's living environment, the development of physical project and so on. This way of producing seed yarn will fill up the blank of this industry, and will satisfy the international needs.
