Water-soluble coating is the main variety of the modern paint industry for its resource saving and its low pollution, accounting for 30-40 percentage of all paints in the world. Studies on antifogging coating, a kind of functional coating reducing or preventing the occurrence of fogging, hold important scientific value and environment protecting merit. The investigation object is the macromolecule alloy system, made up of two components, PVA, Polyvinyl alcohol and PAF, a kind of antifogging resin prepared by myself. The transparent antifogging paint with antifogging longevity is developed. In addition, principal theories involved have been studied. To fulfill our purpose, the following study has been engaged in.1. The macromolecule alloy system, comprising two components, PVA and PAF, is a new type of water-soluble coating with effective antifogging nature.2. Water is used as the solvent. Solid content of the coating is 5-7g/100ml. The ratios between PVA and PAF affect antifogging and mechanical properties of the coat. Experiments indicate that the optional ratio is 2.2-10 to 1.3. The graft ratio between PVA and Poly (methyl) acrylic acid influences the flexibility of modified polyvinyl alcohol. Preferable effects are achieved when the mass ratio between PVA and acrylic acid monomers is 3 to 1.4. The impact of cross-linking agent is studied on the antifogging and mechanical properties of the coats.5. A rational method of mensurating the antifogging properties is designed. The antifogging standard in the thesis is that, temperature difference between +25℃ and -10℃, relative humidity 90%, antifogging longevity of the coat lasts over six hours.
